1.7 Specifications for Safety and EMC Compliance

On April 7, 2000 a complete list of EMC standards along with their\par effective dates was published in the OJ (the Official Journal of the\par European Communities). The list is available at: http://www.lyons.demon.co.uk/euemcstd.pdf

Obtaining standards
Most standards are copyright and must be purchased from the originating body or resellers. There are often discounted terms for\par members of the standards body. Their websites (see sections 1.5 and 1.6) give details of availability and often provide for ordering on-line. Some sites now provide for purchase and download on-line (subject to registration and secure payment) of electronic (PDF) editions of some standards. These currently include:
