A tankbag is the ideal way to carry items on a motorcycle. The interface to the tank comes in many varieties. Some are magnetic, others use a special non-scratch foam type material. No matter how resistant to scratching these mounting systems are, over time they will degrade the tanks finish. A big difficulty is that even if the mounting surface is abrasion free, sand and other particles from the road can get trapped between the tankbag and the tank. Dave M. found the ideal solution to this dilemma. Note that the tankbag never touches the tanks surface! Neat!
